To recognize Junior ROTC cadets at E.C. Glass High School (Air Force) and Heritage High School (Marine Corps) who have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities.
The Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps (JROTC) is one of the largest character development and citizenship programs for youth in the world. The National Defense Act of 1916 established organized JROTC programs at public and private educational institutions.
To recognize and honor these individuals, the Optimist Club of Lynchburg implemented this program in 2020 amidst the Covid Crisis.
